Embrace the richness of Appletons Crewel Wool Yarn in Orange Red shades 441 to 448, a testament to a thousand-year-old tradition. Originating from the lush Yorkshire wool markets, this premium English wool is dyed and spun locally, embodying a journey from sheep to needle. Celebrated for its robust durability, luster, and steadfast color, this yarn finds its roots in the historic crafts of the seventeenth century, famously used by William Morris and in iconic tapestries like the Bayeaux Tapestry and the Great Tapestry of Scotland. With over 420 colors, available in both crewel (2 ply) and tapestry (4 ply) weights, this yarn caters to diverse artistic endeavors, from detailed needlework to weaving and needlepoint. Our eco-conscious packaging, primarily recyclable, reflects our commitment to sustainability. Perfect for both novices and experts, this yarn is a sustainable, chemical-free choice. Great Customer Service - HM Nabavian

This is my 5th direct order from Nabavian (previously through Etsy), but the pricing and the quick delivery will keep me coming back. I am recommending them to all of crafting friends.

Why Appleton Wool

Recently, I visited a needlepoint store in Boston. Walls were covered with small, fussily painted canvases of fine gauge. I make needlepoint designs for cushions, and buy all my yarn from Nabavian. The Boston shop owner said my work can only be done in wool because the fancy fibers she sells would make a project unaffordable. Hah!

Nice color choices

Nice to have all the Appletons colors without having to trust my monitor.

Just what I needed

I needed a couple more skeins of Appleton's wool to finish a project and was very glad to see that Nabacian had it. The purchasing interface was easy and fast and the wool arrived in a few days. The color exactly matched. I will definitely order from them again.
