I ordered all the materials for a project. One hank was not available; I would have waited to have my order sent with everything included! The missing yarn was available a day or two later. I had to re-order it and pay shipping again. Would have appreciated an email asking if I could wait a few days. I wasn’t planning to start that project immediately. Otherwise the order and all materials were perfect!

Appleton Crewel Weight Yarns Great for Handwoven Tapestry
I am a tapestry artist and educator, and use the Appleton crewel weight yarns extensively in my handwoven tapestries, many of which utilize French shading techniques. The extensive range of colors is great! I love this gray scale! I recommend these yarns to my international student base in my online classes in handwoven tapestry technique and design.

Appleton's wool..wonderful!
I am so glad to have found Appleton's Wools online in the USA..thank you! The colours have remained correct for ever. I restored a "woolie"- (kits of crewel and needlepoint embroidery that 19th and early 20th century sailors bought to while away hours on board) .Most sailors knitted or embroidered. The "Woolie" that I restored was made by a family member who was killed on the first day of WW1, so it is very special.I was able to match the colours perfectly to the original Appleston's wools. No other company has remained so true to colours for so long. Thank you again for stocking these quality wools.

Ordered several skeins of wool
The order arrived quickly and accurately. I haven’t used the wool yet, as I have scheduled that project for 2026. But everything looks good.
